Philip Betz saved my dad's life, plain and simple. Phil provided excellent care to my dad since his back to back surgeries. Phil is compassionate yet professional. His job performance exemplifies Florida Hospital Zephyrhills' mission and vision. He takes time to explain the purpose of each med (more than 10 types). During the critical first night, Phil utilized his critical thinking skills and his 20+ years of experience to identify a clogged line had been providing false blood pressure measurements, rerouted a new line, and by doing so was able to reduce the medications allowing my dad's kidneys to function again. Phil collaborated very effectively with the entire ICU team. God answered our prayers by guiding the high caliber RNs such as Phil and the entire ICU staff to save my dad's life.
