Philip was extraordinary and one of the sweetest, compassionate, and amazing people I've ever met.
I have cystic fibrosis and am currently here for extreme pain from surgery. It's been a very tough time with me mentally and physically. But truly, Philip helped me in heartfelt meaningful ways no one else could.
I've been coming to this hospital since I was about four years old yet didn't meet Philip till this past week. He was truly amazing. He was on top of everything as most nurses under the stress of COVID and everything going on had been letting many issues I was having just slip their mind. He was incredibly kind, and we could just talk for as long as he could till he had other duties. When I received him as a nurse I was just extremely excited; he was extraordinary and one of the sweetest, compassionate, and amazing people I've ever met. He made my day so incredibly better by having him as a nurse.
I'm actually getting discharged tomorrow and let me tell you I'm going to miss him so much, we just had a great connection like we could literally be best friends. He went above and beyond making me feel more comfortable. He asked about my mental state as much as my physical and wanted to heal both which is a rare thing to hear from your nurse. He made me feel important and like I wasn't just another patient. He made me feel as if I could be incredibly comfortable because it felt as if I was just speaking with my best friend. It's been a long time since I've had a nurse like him, and with everything going on in the world it reminds me how big some people's hearts are. He reminds me to have faith in humanity.
