Philip did an amazing job caring for an extremely critically ill patient. This patient coded in the ED and then again in the cath lab. After a long period of CPR, the patient was brought back to the ICU and placed on both a balloon pump and the hypothermia protocol. Philip did an excellent job at managing an unstable patient while also initiating hypothermia as well as managing a balloon pump. This type of patient really requires two nurses for this sort of care but Philip was able to manage it on his own. By the time my shift began this patient looked great, was reasonably stable while on eight different drips. The work Philip did was awesome and an example of the best nursing care possible.
