From admission to this nurse’s final check as my RN, Philip displayed genuine compassion and expertise in the craft.
What can you say about this nurse who was on the floor where Mother was admitted. He was just wonderful. When I went to her room for the first time, this nurse saw me go in and asked if they could help me. When I told the nurse that I was looking for my mom and the nurse saw the book in my hand that I use to keep the medical information on her, the nurse left the room for only a couple of seconds and came back with a list of blood pressures and told me what her blood pressure was and that she was downstairs for some tests, what they were and what they were for. Every day that I was up there, I could get the same kind of briefing from this nurse. Every day, mom sang this nurse’s praise for the care for her. I always saw firsthand how this nurse treated other patients. Another patient’s husband had a stroke and was brought into the Emergency room. This nurse arranged it so she could go down and check on him. Philip is someone that Bayfront and our county should be proud of. Not only is this nurse a veteran, but is one of the finest, caring and professional nurses I have had the privilege to know.

This nurse never deferred my requests to “lower” staff. My concerns were addressed with a sense of urgency such as the need to use a commode. Philip took the time to confer with my wife to better understand my needs and to address her concerns. This nurse conveyed a willing attitude to make my stay pleasant.
