My husband was a patient in the intensive care unit (ICU). First I would like to thank South Miami Hospital for being the best. All the staff was wonderful. Our experience in ICU was outstanding and the nurses were excellent! My husband was intubated for abscess in the tonsils and all the time our nurse, Phillip, was very sweet and compassionate, always explaining the treatments and everything that was being done. Since we were super scared, we appreciated that so much! When my husband woke up, he was able to make jokes with Phillip and this meant the world to him.
Nurses like him should be celebrated! I thank Phillip for always having a smile on his face and providing the information needed prior to procedures. God Bless Phillip, his family, and all the staff at South Miami Hospital. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I've never been so concerned to see my husband intubated for 2.5 days it was awful, however, with the care and compassion from Phillip and your staff, it made our experience much better during his stay.
