I spoke with a patient this morning named V. He told me that he was in our hospital last week for a COVID test and pre-op. He said he was sent in the wrong direction and ended up in neighborhood F out of breath and weak from the walk. He said that you, Phoebe, found him and asked if he needed assistance. He did not want to be a bother or keep you from your duties, but he told me that you got him a wheelchair, took him to Health Pass, and made sure that the Health Pass team got a wheelchair for him when he was ready to leave. He was so thankful for you, your care, concern, and sweet spirit. He is looking forward to his surgery tomorrow with Dr. O and hopes to land on your floor when he is released from ICU! His granddaughter was born here 11 years ago, and his son has also been a patient here. I let him know that we will be holding him in our prayers, and we are here if we can do anything for him during his stay.
Phoebe, I am so blessed to have received this call this morning. Mr. V is a very sweet person and to learn how you impacted his life makes me so proud to serve on this team with you. Celebration Health is a special place and is it because of team members like you who care for our patients as we would care for our own family.
