Phyllis Denmark, RN

My heart is full of gratitude to RN Phyllis Denmark for all her kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion shown to my husband and me at a very stressful and trying time. Several days ago, my husband "P" fell, hit his head, and received a brain bleed which, Praise God & Jesus, is completely resolving. In the beginning & in the midst of this condition, my husband was confused & frustrated & sometimes had to be constrained, which I know was necessary to his safety, but compounded his confusion and stress and gave him a sense of not feeling "human." Phyllis, while ALWAYS maintaining his SAFETY, did everything possible to allow "P" to be free while under VERY WATCHFUL eye & every caution so that he maintained his Dignity & Manhood. Phyllis constantly and promptly met all our medical, physical, and emotional needs with a SMILE! Phyllis treated my husband with such compassion, kindness, dignity, & cheerfulness it made our very stressful time & hospital stay tolerable and even a PLEASANT experience. Phyllis Denmark is a most EXCELLENT candidate for the winner of the DAISY Award. Nursing is not just a "job" to Phyllis; it is her God-ordained Ministry of Love to show compassion & a healing touch to hurting mankind. She gives 110% of her time to her patients at all times and is certainly an awesome asset to Providence Hospital and the Nursing Community !!
