Mrs. Phyllis Jeans goes above and beyond to encourage, teach and mold her students to be the nurses she knows we can be. She always reminds us that a patient will not care how much we know until they know how much that we care. She always gives credit where it is due, gives instruction and guidance in areas of personal difficulty. She is committed to the growth of her students and promotes excellence in all of her teaching. It is a true blessing to connect with an instructor who inspires students to grow and to care.
She has been very encouraging and supportive of our clinical group. She has prayed over us which means a lot to me! She truly cares about us as a student, nurse and person.
Mrs. Jeans is the epitome of a great nursing educator. Her expertise in the profession makes her to be the best teaching students. Her care for her students and her desire to see them excel is exemplary. She motivates and pushes them toward excellence. She balances constructive criticism with patient in such a way that does not put fear in a student, but rather encourage the student to strive for excellence. She is well-liked by her peers and her students. She works great interpersonally as well as professionally. I give her 5 stars!
