I went under surgery for my spine. When I got out of the surgery, I was still coming back from the anesthesia, and that's when I heard Pia talking to the nurses to take care of me. She told them that I am her favorite patient which made me get so happy from her because all the nurses were trying to do their best to look after me. Before her shift was over, she came back to check on me (still under the influence of anesthesia). I spoke to her and asked to see my kids and husband. She told me they should be outside and shed let them know I was out of surgery.

My family wasn't there anymore because other nurses told them they couldn't visit me. Pia was a great help since there was nobody there but me in the recovery room. I do appreciate her because she calmed me down and she made me feel so special and feel loved by a nurse. Her service was excellent, she exceeded my expectation. She went above and beyond to look after me. Now we have a good bond with each other.

Another event that happened is when I was going home on the 3rd day; I had some medical reaction to a medication which led to some side effects. I went back to the hospital where Pia was and I called for her then she came in even though she was leaving her work at that time. She was off duty and yet she still came and she stood by me and she comforted me even though I wasn't feeling so good. She made me feel better and special when she took care of me. I really appreciate and am thankful for her help even though I was really in very bad shape. She came into my life as a good friend in the end.
