Haiyan is a beautiful and decent nurse. She works really hard with a caring heart. She is very brave yet not reckless. She is the nurse who possessed what a nurse should be. She is so knowledgeable, skillful and excellent in practicing nursing care. Working with her, we feel comfortable and reassured. She will always be right there to lend a helping hand, right when you need it the most, without thinking twice about it!

One day, a patient with thyroid carcinoma collapsed because of psychogenic syncope. He was hospitalized in our unit for radiotherapy. Haiyan rushed to the bedside, promptly setting up the IV, monitoring equipment and oxygen. Then she took the patient’s vital signs and assessed the patient carefully. Haiyan worked like a brave soldier, going frequently into the patient’s room to check on him. After the patient stabilized, she helped him change his clothes, cleaned the ward and comforted the patient by listening to what worried him and providing some advice. She did not worry about the radiation problem at all. She gave the patient the best care she could provide. She was supportive and encouraging and was tactful in caring. When asked about radiation exposure, she replied, “The patient was in such an urgent situation. Any nurse would rush to him without thinking about any self-interest. We all put the patients’ need in front of our own. I just did what I am supposed to, and it is my daily work.”What beautiful words! We were very impressed.

We have been working with her for more than six months now and we find that her attitude towards working is very serious and she loves the job a lot. She can put herself in others’shoes and think for the patient. Patient’s needs always come first. She is very considerate and caring of others. She puts our mission “Giving you sincerity, confidence and love” into action. We doctors are very proud that we can be co-workers with her! She makes our days brighter!
