For the last three years, I have made regular visits and have been cared for by this exemplary team of nurses. During each visit, I was greeted with compassionate smiles and a readiness to do whatever they could to make my time with them a positive one. I often felt like I was a member of their family rather than a patient. They always told me what they were going to do, asked repeatedly how I was doing, and took steps to make me feel as comfortable and pain-free as possible. They always answered any questions I asked to ensure I understood any medications or treatments I would be responsible for at home. On several occasions, one of my nurses would call me within the hour to answer a question I left on the Department's voicemail. It has been a long journey for me, and these outstanding nurses have helped me along the way. They are a credit to Henry Ford Health, and each deserves to be recognized with a DAISY Award.
