Polly is compassionate to all the children in her care and works effectively with parent caregivers in ensuring their voice is heard also.
Polly is a learning disability nurse who puts her heart and soul into supporting and advocating for the rights of this patient population in all aspects of their life. She is compassionate to all the children in her care and works effectively with parent caregivers in ensuring their voice is heard also. She takes onboard the extra needs of the service, the junior staff under her, and the image the service presents to the wider public. She is dedicated to improving the lives of the children in Ruby Lodge and works so well in ensuring interventions and treatment plans are implemented by all. She is a rising leader and has a thirst for knowledge to learn from, reflect on, and support the children with current good practice. She gets down on their level and really brings out the best in the children and this supports their recovery. She has made the lodge a more colorful place, not just the environment with her boards and displays showing what's going on within Ruby Lodge, but her whole demeanor. She puts her positive pants on and gets on with her day regardless of what's been thrown at her! She is a pleasure to work alongside.
