I would like to nominate the Ponce de Leon Clinic Nursing Team. The nurses at Ponce go above and beyond every day to care for our patients. The Ponce center is one of the very few clinics in the country where all the nurses are HIV certified. Our patients have complicated medical and social situations. We work as a team to give excellent care each day. The Ponce nurses bring a wide range of experience but have all committed to continuing to expand our knowledge, provide evidence-based care, and contribute to addressing the HIV crisis in Georgia and the United States.

The entire team goes above and beyond to retain patients in care, providing therapeutic communication and reliable clinical skills. The nurses are not hesitant to advocate for patients' needs. This team demonstrates the Grady Values to the fullest extent by providing patient-centered care, serving with EXCELLENCE, doing the right thing, and doing so within scope and safety. This team is well known for closing the loop on communication and using their critical thinking skills to connect the necessary interdisciplinary team to provide the very best care!
