Precy was caring for a very ill patient who had a cardiac arrest and was on a ballon pump for 3 days. The pateint was sedated but her sons and mother sat by the bedside all day long. The sons were very worried about their mother. Precy expalined everything to the the family that was going on and explained what would happen next. She provide family support and helped them deal with this devastating event over the next few days. The patient went up to a med/surg floor and eventually home. The patient requested to "meet that nurse that saved my life" as her sons had told her all about Precy. The patient did not recall the events but the family did. She deserves the DAISY award.
