December 2024 Honoree
Preston Oberg, RN
This nurse has a professional demeanor that he displays at all times. It was important to him that I was comfortable, in addition to my care. The times he was not my nurse, he would make it a point to stop in and visit to see if I had any needs. He always brought a smile to my face !

I came to research emergency with what turned out to be acute gallbladder sepsis and stones in my bile duct. It was not expected at all. Once I got to med/surg, this nurse was one of my primary regular nurses. He is very good at explaining what he is doing and helped me understand processes. He was diligent in checking my vitals even when he was headed home and I was concerned about my blood pressure. It was an uphill battle with my infection, and he always checked my IV sites as I had several changes during my visit. He has a compassionate manner and was very calming to my wife and me. He was enjoyable to visit with as he performed his job and constantly went above and beyond. I feel fortunate to have met him and wish him the best in his life.
