Princess Osei, RN
Princess always has a great attitude when she is at work. She shows exceptional dedication, compassion, and outstanding care to her critically ill patients and families.
One particular evening, Princess was caring for a man with pneumonia on a ventilator. As Princess came on her shift, she noticed the man's wife at the bedside looking tearful. Princess' attention to detail and kindness put her at ease. The patient's wife felt so comfortable and confident in Princess that she was able to open up and discuss her fears of losing her husband.
Princess listened intently, took the wife's hand, offered words of comfort and reassurance, and at one point said: "We're going to take the best possible care of your husband." The patient's wife was so comfortable with Princess that she was able to leave for the first time in days to shower and rest.
Princess is one of the kindest and most compassionate nurses that I know.
