Prescy provides gentle leadership to her staff. She instills a passion for our patient population in her staff. She is a master at solving patient concerns and resolving any issues they may have. She is an excellent team player with all disciplines. She creates deep and long lasting relationships with patients and their families. She is a joy to work with and I know I can always count on her for whatever I need.

Prescy Raudes has been the Assistant Nurse Manager for 1 Rehab, the spinal cord injury unit since 2011. She is also an active participant and member of the Rehab Shared Governance Unit Council and is known for her renowned customer service skills as she goes above and beyond to make the patient and patient’s family stay as comfortable as possible.

Prescy had a vision for the Rehab floor nurses to function as a patient and family educator and facilitator of communication between the patient and the interdisciplinary rehab team. As a result, she created the description of the “Rehab Nurse Facilitator” (RNF) to aid with the troubleshooting of individual patient care issues, address needs, and tailor care accordingly. With the help of the Shared Governance Unit Council, she was able to devise the role of the RNF as follows: provide unit orientation, engage in goal setting with patient and family via weekly meetings, monitor teaching completion and monitor care plan to match current patient needs.
