During a nursing Unit Base Council meeting, Quameko questioned the pharmacist why Trinity did not discharge COPD patients with their metered-dose inhalers. Her question was derived from her experience of seeing COPD patients being readmitted due to their inability to fill the NMDI prescriptions after being discharged from Trinity. The pharmacist followed up and sought a solution. Thanks to Quameko's initiative the pharmacy department can now print labels and dispense MDI upon a patient's discharge.

Thank you, Quameko, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
