November 2016 Honoree
quatina rivers, RN
I came in for trouble breathing and chest pain. The nurse was very caring and helped me get a private room. I was sent for a test. They called a code and my nurse ran from green tower to blue tower to come to my aid. I believe she helped saved my life. I truly thought I was going to die. She stayed with me and took excellent care of me when we got back to the floor. She was one of the most compassionate nurses I have had. I can't thank her enough for coming to my aid and saving me even though I was mean to her initially. She did not take that against me; she continued to care for me. Her running to me while I was coding showed me she was great. For this I nominate her.
Thank you, Quatina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
