Tiki, thank you for being a light of sunshine. That day when there were 17 discharges along with ongoing admissions, you still kept your bearings. Even when you were stressing out, you still made time to laugh. I have never enjoyed a clinical rotation as much as this one!

The amazing Tiki – I am a student nurse. Coming to a new hospital can be nerve-wracking, but having a caring and experienced nurse like Tiki can make your experience flow much more smoothly. I was able to see how incredible Tiki’s care is with her patients. She was very patient with all their needs and provided such quality care. This type of nurse is one that you can trust with your own loved ones. I am truly inspired and honored to have witnessed and have learned through Tiki.
A particular patient who inspired me was one who was bed-bound and who could not help herself. Tiki had beautiful therapeutic communication, and I could see the energy shift positively with the patient. It just shows how nurses have star quality that can change a patient’s day.
Tiki also taught me very valuable nursing skills and shared some tips and tricks that I will be carrying with me during my nursing career. I can attest that other students in my cohort were also very pleased to have been precepted with her and can guarantee that future students and patients will be inspired by her love and care.
Tiki deserves all the love and recognition because of the phenomenal job she brings to the profession. What an honor to have met her.

Tiki is an amazing nurse who has been extremely welcoming of our nursing students. I have worked in this unit for over two semesters, and my students have always appreciated the time Tiki has taken to work with students. She is kind, patient, and highly knowledgeable. You could tell that Tiki enjoys her profession, and it is evident in the care she provides to patients.
As I currently write this nomination, Tiki is being thanked by the daughter of a patient who was here last week for the phenomenal care that she provided to that patient. She frequently precepts new hires due to her high level of competence.
I hope that I am able to continue coming to this floor with my students because I can count on nurses like Tiki to help develop our future nurses. We need more nurses like her!
