While my uncle was on this unit, Quincy was so caring and understanding towards him. My uncle was a demanding patient and at times he became very frustrated. During this entire time Quincy exhibited the same calming and caring attitude towards my uncle. He was able to calm my uncle and let him know that he was there to take great care of him.
On one of my visits I heard my uncle remarking that he was able to learn some things from Quincy. This was remarkable to the family because my uncle does not usually make those types of remarks. My uncle was later moved to another unit; Quincy went and visited him on the new unit.
Every other nurse that came in contact with my uncle was compared to Quincy. His care was so exceptional to my uncle that he felt that while the others were good and gave good care, none of them could compare to him. Whatever he did, the family is grateful that he took the time and patience to be a great advocate for my uncle.
