She continually seeks ways to improve and enhance teamwork, collaboration, and the nursing care that she and her team members provide for our patients and families.
Brant is the epitome of what it means to be a DAISY Nurse Leader. She is a compassionate and caring servant leader and role model for nursing excellence. She has proven to be an exceptionally hard-working, diligent, and supportive leader with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills who readily adapts to new challenges. She continually seeks ways to improve and enhance teamwork, collaboration, and the nursing care that she and her team members provide for our patients and families. Always kind, caring, compassionate, and professional, she greets everyone with a smile and a good word, often using humor to coach and guide her team. Brant always goes the extra mile for her patients and her co-workers, helping all in any way she can. Whether it is her involvement in Fall Prevention- PI projects, representing Wolfson at a national conference, managing unit council initiatives, coordinating the Wolfson ExCEL program, or the countless other things she does, you know it will be a shining example of compassionate caring and nursing excellence. She exemplifies all the Baptist Health and Wolfson Children's Hospital core values and is most deserving of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

Brant is the type of leader where nobody is left behind; she will fight for her staff and make sure everyone is okay. She is the type of leader who will make everyone feel welcome and will help in any way she can. On numerous occasions, Brant went out of her way to get coffee, snacks, pizza parties, and many other things for each and every individual on the night shift. When I was new to this unit, she made me immediately feel welcomed and loved. She fought for me on multiple occasions and always made me feel important. She is the kindest soul and the most genuine leader I have ever had. When I was afraid to be myself due to past situations, she proceeded to encourage me to accept myself for who I am and to push me to be my best self.

Night shift on 5 Wolfson wouldn't be the same without Brant! I couldn't have done the night shift as long as I did without her leadership and friendship. When I first started, Brant saw the potential in me and encouraged me to start Excel. When I had big ambitions, she was by my side encouraging me the entire time. Many people ask why I have done everything I have with doing 2 PI projects, a special project, my core for Excel, participating and helping on unit council and the CNA committee, and many other things. Brant is the reason I keep being myself and doing what many say is 'the most.'  She is worthy of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
