I am a chaplain for Genesis. I was paged to a dying patient's room on the 6th floor. Upon my arrival, I found a night nurse, Rachael Thrasher, sitting with the patient. She had not been his nurse that night but knew that patient's family would not be coming to the hospital. Rachael said she didn't want him to die alone. She sat with the patient for over three hours on her own time until he died. This certainly shows compassionate care and the Genesis mission.
