Rachel has been my nurse many times on Silverstein 11th floor. She is consistently cheerful, happy, and just genuinely brings a smile to my face no matter how sick or unwell I am feeling. She also has a great memory and makes me feel important because she remembers our previous conversations from months apart. She is such a sweet and happy person that it really shows in her work and I am very thankful for her splendid attitude at the hospital and on Silverstein 11.

I had Rachel for 2 days. Right away, I knew she was going to be a friendly nurse by her warming smile and sweet personality. I have chronic lung problems and have been admitted over a dozen times over the years and Rachel has been the nicest, sweetest, and caring nurse that I have ever had. On a day in February, it was my son's birthday and he passed away last year so I was very sad and upset to be in the hospital. She made a special effort to spend time with me to see if I was alright and to talk with me about my son. That meant the world to me and to my husband, since I wasn't with him until later that day; he knew that Rachel was taking good care of me. So nominating her for this award is very important to me. She deserves it!

Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
