December 2024 Honoree
Rachel Ayling, RN
I was admitted for a lupus flare-up for about six days. I was transferred from IMCU to another unit for further observation. I made my way to my new room, where I was greeted by my nurse Rachel, who, even through her mask, I could see her smiling. She went over all my medications each time I took them without question. She was very prompt when responding to my call light. She would check on me even when I was resting, make sure I had something to drink all day, towels to wash up, and anything else I may need. She would never leave my room without asking if I was all right or needed anything. Normally, the answer would be no, simply because she is an awesome nurse and stays on top of everything all throughout the day. I have been in and out of the hospital for about three years in contact with quite a few different nurses, and I must say her bedside manner is extraordinary. I am very happy to have been a patient of hers. Thank you, Rachel, for making my hospital stay as pleasant as possible.
Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
