Rachel was not only my pre- and post-op nurse, but she was also my angel. It began with her smile and wonderful reception. Her patience and care were exceptional. Rachel impressed me with her patience, educational information, snippets, her professionalism, and gentle manner working with my small veins. She is kind, professional, and a blessing.

When it was first noted that Rachel would become part of the Transcare Unit we were cautious as we understood her background to be IV Infusion/MedSurg. Little did we know that Rachel was a hidden Gem or what you would say a “Diamond in the Rough”. Rachel jumped in and adapted very quickly to the fast-moving pace of Transcare and the understanding of the demands of a cardiac patient. But what we found most appreciative of Rachel is her experience, empathy, and kindness towards others, and how it resonates through everything that she does. Rachel will always greet you with a smile, even when things are not going so well. Her patients have only good things to say and are always giving praise to the care they received from Rachel. Rachel exhibits everything that Adventist stands for: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship. She goes above and beyond to provide world-class care to the patients we serve, not just physically but spiritually, and this is what makes her so special. We are so happy and blessed to have her as part of the Transcare team and exceptionally proud of her as a recipient of the DAISY Award. Congratulations Rachel!!
