It was a stressful situation given my brother's heart/diabetic issues. Unlike other nurses, Rachel took the time to get to know my brother and myself. She would explain what was going on with my brother until we both understood. I never felt she was rushing us or that we were taking too much of her time. This simple act of listening to us and our concerns was huge. She was always cheery with a positive attitude which made us feel better. She also is a great conversationalist!
A positive attitude and compassion for the patient and family made the days she was our nurse feel like they were full of sunshine!!!
