Rachel has a quiet humility about her that brings patients and families the calm that's needed.
My son had some of his worst days after colectomy and Rachel was the angel we needed. When my son was vomiting and covered in bodily fluids, she calmly and swiftly cleaned him and his bed without ever making him feel embarrassed. When he was too weak to stand, she single-handedly pulled him up and made him feel safe. Rachel has a quiet humility about her that brings patients and families the calm that's needed. She is even keel, knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. If she didn't have the answer she sought it. She never made us feel silly for asking tons of questions. My son and I will remember her and her kindness. She also talked him through bad news in an honest but non-alarming way (getting a catheter for the first time). Rachel made quite an impact on us and we will be forever grateful.
