Rachel Elbon is an asset to VNA. She is a rock-solid nurse with superb skills. She rarely gets ruffled despite working in an area where many patients have less than adequate home conditions, incomes below the poverty level, and minimal education. In the face of these challenges, she always figures out a way to provide the best possible care, improve the situation and provide the necessary education at a level the patient understands. Rachel has an outgoing personality, is engaged in her job, and is always willing to serve on a committee or as a preceptor. She has taken several new nurses under her wing, making them feel welcome to our team. She is a good mentor and provides a solid orientation ensuring new nurses have the proper skill set to work independently.
