Rachel was my RN, room 9886, on Wednesday June 23rd. I was to be released but I told the doctor I didn't think I was ready, and he indicated I was being a big baby and pampering myself, which was far from the truth. So after a good scolding, I agreed to go home and was told as soon as I drank 1,000 cc liquid I was free to go. I tried and tried but couldn't get it all down. Then Rachel came in and sort of indicated she had talked to him and assured him I had been doing everything possible to hurry my recovery. An upper GI was ordered and the entrance to my stomach was completely swelled shut and all that I'd been drinking was still in my esophagues. I could have affixiated myself. So I feel Rachel saved my life and would love for her to know how I feel about her. Thank You. L.H.
