o, about 20 minutes before the peak of the eclipse, Rachel wheeled me down in a chair.
On the day of the solar eclipse, Rachel was pulled to the 6th floor and assigned to be my nurse. I had expressed to her how badly I wanted to see it but was stuck in my room. She felt bad about that and said that she would see what she could do. She spoke to the charge nurse and was told that if she was caught up with all of the needs of her patients, then she could take me outside to see it; she did what was asked of her and informed her tech that if he needed anything, then let her know.

I had asked my pastor to bring me a pair of glasses just in case I was able to make it work. So, about 20 minutes before the peak of the eclipse, Rachel wheeled me down in a chair. We enjoyed the eclipse together, with about 30 or so employees down by the employee entrance. Due to my health concerns, it is highly unlikely that I will ever see another eclipse similar to this one. Rachel had no obligation to do this for me. She simply did this out of the goodness of her heart. She is truly a special person, and UofM West is blessed to have her on the team. She was very thorough in making sure that no one was affected in a negative way while making the day special to me. She is such a great nurse and even better person.

I have been through a very difficult time in my personal life, and she was a really good listener. She made me feel better about my situation and provided very simple and sincere advice. I feel so blessed to have had Rachel as my nurse that day.
