Rachel did not hesitate to say yes and went to make it happen. She created the most beautiful and amazing memory of O’s birth, and we could not be happier.
Rachel has been instrumental in my and my wife's adjustment to parenthood. O is our first child and what makes this case special is that we are adopting her. For three nights, Rachel has been key in making sure we are doing everything we can for her best interest. She takes time to make sure we are educated on skills such as swaddling, bottle feeding, and sleeping; and she knows how to make sure we are taking time to take care of ourselves. Sometimes Rachel is there just reminding us that we are doing a great job and we are doing everything we need to do correctly. She is always available to answer questions we may have.
Because we are adopting, we have been pushing ourselves to be here around the clock. Sometimes she just says, “how about I take the next feeding and you get some rest?” She has been so thoughtful in helping us manage the nighttime. Our nights at home will be so much safer due to the efforts that Rachel put in to guide us through this process. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure we have anything that we could possibly need.
The last great act of appreciation she has done for us involves baby footprints. When O was born at a different facility, they had enough time to create a footprint keepsake. We asked Rachel if she could help us make sure both us and the birth mom had a keepsake. Rachel did not hesitate to say yes and went to make it happen. She created the most beautiful and amazing memory of O’s birth, and we could not be happier. She cheerfully completed this request towards the end of her shift with no hesitation. Rachel always puts her patients first, always has a smile on her face, and completes every task cheerfully.
