May 2022 Honoree
Rachel Hermann, RN
Our mother, L, was transferred to All Saints in the middle of the night for her traumatic spinal column injury. She was an RN for 68+ years, so our family has developed high expectations of our medical teams over the years. Rachel Hermann was absolutely the best caregiver, compassionate with extraordinary nursing abilities. Rachel not only provided adequate care for my mom but also took initiative to arrange extra diet items to tempt mom’s appetite, providing quick responses to our concerns even though I know she had other patients to take care of.
Rachel gently interacted with my mom, who wasn’t an amenable patient, while also offering comfort to family members. During mom’s 3 hospital stays in one month, I interacted with many different RNs. I know it can be an overwhelming career. Rachel made a difference in our family’s life that day that won’t be forgotten soon. Thanking God for her work ethic and servant’s heart.

Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
