September 2017 Honoree
rachel humphreys, RN
What can I say about Rachel, she is the one I turn to, she has helped me over so many hurdles. I have poured all my problems and anxieties out to her, shed many tears and she always has reassuring answers and I always feel better when I've had a chat with her.
I truly believe that Rachel saved my life. I had a PD tube inserted and went to see Rachel a week after to have my dressing changed. She asked me how I was feeling and I told her I was feeling really poorly and very tired. It was her initiative that I believe saved my life. She got me to come into the unit to have dialysis a week before I was due to start. From then on, I started feeling better, so for that, I thank her from the bottom of my heart because I honestly think another couple of days I would have been dead.

Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
