Rachel had been caring for a patient for almost 6 weeks. The family really loved her and had requested her when she was scheduled. The patient was nearing the end of life and the family wanted her there. During her shift off, Rachel came in to be a support/comfort for the wife and family. She spent quality time for almost 4 hours comforting the wife and family. Rachel exemplifies compassion as well as the knowledge to care for our most susceptible patient population. She always goes above and beyond when caring for her patients. And she is loved by her co-workers!
