March 2021 Honoree
rachel kilpatrick, RN
I am a two-time TKR patient of Dr. C. I am 68 years old and haven't spent the night in the hospital since I had my tonsils out a 5 years old. I was also very apprehensive but knew I couldn't live the rest of my life in the pain that I had. I met Ms. Kilpatrick at a total joint class at Riverview the week before the first surgery. There was something so soothing about her voice and mannerisms that made me think I was going to get through this ok. One question led to another, and she answered with all of the confidence of a professional but has that ability to calm. She helped me through the first surgery and the second.
The only other person I have met in my life that has that angelic nature that Rachel does is my sister. She recently retired from there. I don't know if you knew her...point being I hold her in the highest regard, and Rachel is right up there. You probably are quite well aware of it, but you have a treasure in her. I wanted to offer my congratulations to you because she is in your department and makes your department even better.

Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
