I was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. On the first night, is when I had Rachel as my nurse. I had never been in the hospital before and my family had left for the night. I was pretty scared, along with feeling like I was run over by a bus. Rachel took the time to talk to me and check on me often. She really made me feel more comfortable and more at ease. She was easy to talk with also. I even talked to her about the fact that I'm planning on attending nursing school soon, she gave me great advice. When I become a nurse I hope that I can be as good as she is, because just those few kind words/ gestures meant the world to me as a patient.
