Rachel constantly goes above and beyond any expectation set for her by not only giving fantastic care to her patients but also bonding with them. In this specific event, Rachel stayed 2 hours after her shift to give a patient a manicure, but it was much more than that. While talking to the patient's husband, she found out that this patient, B, always had her nails done; it was her thing. So, after this patient had been through 3 weeks of a rough hospital stay, having most of her lower body reconstructed, a tracheostomy, and suffering a stroke, she thought she might just feel a little better if she had well-manicured nails. Rachel brought in her own supplies, stayed after shift, and did a fantastic job, so much that the patient has been showing them off to everyone who comes in.
