She builds strong relationships with patients, staff, and students. You feel seen and supported when you’re around her. She shows compassion through action—checking in, following up, and treating everyone with dignity, even in stressful moments.
She leads by example in everything she does. Whether she’s teaching a new skill, helping with a tough patient, or guiding us through a mistake, she carries herself with professionalism, patience, and care. You can see her commitment to excellence in how well-prepared she is and how much she expects from us, not in a harsh way, but in a way that shows she believes we’re capable of more.

She’s honest with us, even when it’s uncomfortable, and always encourages us to do the right thing, not the easy thing. That kind of integrity really sticks with you. She’s also incredibly resourceful—if we hit a roadblock or need extra help, she’s quick to find a solution, share a tool, or adjust how she’s teaching to make it work.

But most of all, it’s the way she connects with people that stands out. She builds strong relationships with patients, staff, and students. You feel seen and supported when you’re around her. She shows compassion through action—checking in, following up, and treating everyone with dignity, even in stressful moments. It’s clear she cares deeply, and that makes a lasting impact. I truly don’t think I’d be the student nurse I am today without her. She saw potential in me when I wasn’t even sure I saw it in myself, and she never gave up on pushing me to grow. Her belief in us—especially when we’re overwhelmed, unsure, or just tired—has made such a difference.

She doesn’t just teach nursing; she models it. The kind of nurse she is, the way she communicates, and the standard she holds herself to—it makes you want to rise to that level too. She treats patients and students with the same respect and compassion, and that consistency says a lot about her character.

I’m thankful for every moment I got to learn from her. She’s the kind of instructor who leaves a lasting impact long after clinical is over. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the DAISY Award.

Mrs. Kroemer makes sure all her students feel heard. She’s always available for extra help or just to talk. She understands all of our struggles and gives us good advice while encouraging us and letting us know we are all capable of becoming successful nurses.

She makes sure to be available in person for any questions over content. She provides slideshows for all her content and makes sure she is well-educated on her material.

She is well educated on all her content. She points us to the right direction for the best learning and opportunities.

She makes sure to always push us to be our best. Nursing school is tough, and she makes sure we have what we need to succeed.

When I was struggling through school, being a new mom, Mrs. Kroemer made sure to do everything in her power to help me succeed. I can never repay her for the way she made me feel when I was at my lowest. She is not only an extremely good educator, but also an amazing person. I think every nursing educator could learn something from Mrs. Kroemer.
