One of the most compassionate acts I have ever seen in the ICU was Rachel sitting with a dying patient and comforting her as she died. The patient was from another facility and had just been converted to hospice. Death was expected but not as quickly as it happened. She had no family at bedside and Rachel sat with her until she passed.
Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
