This gesture provided the family with so much peace. But most amazing of all, you then sat with B and held his hand until he took his last breath.
I am writing this letter in regards to the story I was told by my mother and stepfather. This letter is about the wonderful and fantastic care that Rachel provided to B. I would like to personally thank you Rachel for going over and beyond your job duties during this strange terrible time that we are going through.

The main reason I am writing this letter is to share a story with you that I experienced in 1995 when my father was in the ICU in a hospital in Colorado. I was unable to get there to be with him. I recalled the day he had been removed from the ventilator but was coherent and able to communicate with people with a pen and paper. I called but my mom and sister had stepped out of the room to grab a bite to eat. I phoned the nurse's station next and told the nurse I wanted to speak with my father. She said he could not speak to which I acknowledged and asked her to just simply hold the phone to his ear so that I could speak to him. She told me no, stating that would be too hard on my father. The moral of the story is that I never got to say goodbye and tell my father that I loved him before he passed away.

So, when I heard what you had done for B…taking the IPAD into the room for his loved ones to say goodbye to him, it literally bought me to tears knowing that there are nurses out there like you who do care. This gesture provided the family with so much peace. But most amazing of all, you then sat with B and held his hand until he took his last breath. I know a lot of people out there don’t appreciate the work that you do but there are a lot of people out there who do recognize you and cannot thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless You!
