She spoke softly and gently to me, and being a brand-new mom, you have no idea how comforting it was to me.
I had a long and difficult pregnancy so coming to deliver my first baby brought a lot of fears and anxiety. My labor was long and slow moving. Being transferred to postpartum so quickly also brought new mom anxieties.

While each nurse was caring and kind, Rachel was different. Not only was she patient with me, but she shared so much of her own personal and professional knowledge with me. She spoke softly and gently to me, and being a brand-new mom, you have no idea how comforting it was to me. My baby was having a tough time latching. Rachel stopped writing notes and came over to me. She calmly gave me advice, and I could tell she really cared about me and my son. This was not just a job for her. This was her passion.

That same day my son failed the hearing test, and I was so worried. Rachel knew I was worried, and she took time with the testing. She told me everything she was doing and when he passed, she jumped up and down!

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Rachel. Please know I will never forget how she cared for me and my new baby.
