Rachel anticipated my needs every single day, having meds ready before I even thought to ask for them.
I am writing this email to thank Rachel, from the 4th floor for her outstanding care of me while I was hospitalized with COVID. I was very scared to receive the positive diagnosis despite being fully vaccinated. When I was admitted for three days, I had Rachel every single day I was hospitalized. I was so scared the first day, but when I saw her that first day and every single morning, I cried happy tears, seeing a familiar face. She knew exactly how to care for me and love on me when I couldn't see my family or husband (she treated me just like family).

Rachel anticipated my needs every single day, having meds ready before I even thought to ask for them. She was organized, professional, and above all, kind. I remember my second day I was feeling terrible, and Rachel came in with exactly what I needed. She kept the lights on when I needed it to be brighter, dimmed them when I needed to sleep, kept me warm in my room, ordered me food when I didn't want to, and kept my husband updated about my care. She was truly amazing and an angel here on Earth. She bought flowers to cheer me up on my last day, encouraged me every day, and made extra touches to my hospitalization that really make me proud to be a member of the St. John's Family. No one wants to have COVID, and frankly, I know it’s scary taking care of patients with COVID, especially resistant to the vaccine, but Rachel did it with grace, keeping my dignity, and in the most loving way possible.
