When I could feel myself getting frustrated with my mom, Rachel kept a calm and reassuring demeanor; I was impressed!
Rachel was very attentive when it came to my mother's needs. My mother was there with a small bowel obstruction and was simply miserable. My mother wasn’t always easy to get along with being that she has dementia and is an old lady set in her ways, but that never changed the way Rachel attended to her. She took her time, and explained everything she was going to do, most of the time more than once for my forgetful mom. When I could feel myself getting frustrated with my mom, Rachel kept a calm and reassuring demeanor; I was impressed! I’m from out of town, so by the time Rachel would come on shift, I was tired and ready to go. I always felt she was in good hands with Rachel, never felt scared to leave her. Rachel always reminded me to call anytime during the night if I wanted to, and I appreciated that, it made me sleep better at night. Harford Memorial is lucky to have Rachel as a nurse, I could see her working in the biggest, best hospitals out there!
