Rachel's patient in the ED was so appreciative of the care she received, she wrote the following nomination:
"Rachel's professionalism, skill set, and calmness during the delivery of critical care was amazing. All while delivering critical care and her phone ringing she remained focused on me and handled a stressful event with grace. Not only did Rachel take care of me, but she also delivered calmness to my husband whose stress level was a 10/10. In all seriousness, I thought that would be my last day on this earth with such blood loss I was at risk of a cardiac event.
I am a healthcare provider myself and I truly attribute my ability to be sending this nomination to Rachel's care of me in the ED before being transferred to the OR. I am so thankful she was my guardian angel that night as things went from bad to worse in about an hour’s time. I appreciate how she didn't step one foot out of my room until I left. Her energies are amazing and FHH has a top-notch nurse in one of their most stressful units."
