It has taken me some time to write this, as my mom passed away at the end of May. Now that I have had time to reflect, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to Rachel.

Rachel was an exceptional nurse for my mom and our entire family. She genuinely cares about people, and that compassion was evident in every interaction during my mom’s final days. Rachel provided outstanding care by keeping my mom comfortable, assisting with her personal needs, ensuring she received her medications, and helping with meals. What truly set Rachel apart, however, was how she went above and beyond the clinical aspects of her role.

Knowing my mom was no longer talking much, Rachel took the time to learn who she was, asking about what she enjoyed and the life she had lived. She brushed my mom’s hair, spoke to her with kindness, and treated her with dignity and respect. Rachel was thoughtful, supportive, and always pleasant to be around during an incredibly difficult time.

Throughout her shifts, Rachel worked tirelessly, frequently checking on my mom, monitoring her condition, and ensuring she was receiving the best possible care. She patiently answered our questions, called my mom by name, knew her story, and genuinely made an effort to connect with both my mom and our family. We never felt like just another patient and family; Rachel made us feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Rachel treated all of us with kindness, compassion, and respect, while preserving my mom’s dignity in her final days. She was the best nurse we could have hoped for, and her care brought comfort to our family during one of the most difficult times of our lives.

I truly believe God sent Rachel to care for my mom and support our family when we needed it most. I will always be grateful for her loving heart, her watchful eye, and the exceptional care she provided. Rachel made a lasting impact on our family, and we will never forget her kindness.

Thank you, Rachel, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
