Rachel came in several hours before her shift to give a trauma patient a full shower and hair wash before being transported to a rehab facility. The patient was under a lot of stress as well as far away from her hometown. She and her supervisor ensured that their patient’s final day at University Hospital was a reminder that she was thought of and sent off properly. “These two demonstrated the Culture of YES, and deserve recognition for going above and beyond,” the nomination reads.
