My husband is 91 years old, had hip surgery, internal bleeding, and a heart attack and was in the ICU for several days. On transfer to the telemetry floor we met Rachel. We had great nurses up to this point, but Rachel was so special. She not only took excellent care of my husband, she went out of her way to be sure he was comfortable, that I was comfortable, and made sure we understood everything that was happening regarding his tests and medicines. When we were going to be discharged, she spent extra time making sure we had everything we needed. She is an excellent nurse and a very compassionate young lady.

Rachel took significant time with me and her patience and humor were a balm for my soul. She went the extra mile and gave report to the rehab center with specific instructions for my care. She was most concerned they get the message my neck collar was not to be removed. Rachel was training a student nurse at the same time. Her manner with me as a patient and the student was easy, professional, caring and open. Thank you.
