Being a young adult patient inside a children's hospital can make one feel disconnected and left out. Sometimes I feel like I don't belong here. Rachel made me feel the exact opposite. She treated me with a special care, that I felt like I was Rachel's younger sister, rather than her patient. When I was feeling extremely lonely and sad, Rachel sat and talked to me. She listened to what I had to say and talked to me like we were old friends.
