Rachel Panek 3, BSN, RN

I witnessed Rachel comforting a tearful patient from another floor. It was the patient’s first day on her own in a wheelchair. She was so kind to the patient, who was not even her patient, and encouraged her, telling her she was doing really well. She spoke to her with respect and kindness, making the patient feel much better. I was truly impressed by this interaction. Rachel is an excellent nurse with strong critical-thinking skills and is absolutely amazing at caring for her patients and communicating with the medical team. She definitely deserves this award.
